LIFTING AND MOVING EQUIPMENT
According to the Health and Safety Requirements in the Use of Work Equipment Directive, lifting and moving equipment like fork lifts, transportable working platforms, cranes, workshop hoists, tower cranes, mobile cranes, lifts, platforms, suspended access equipment, escalators and moving bands must be inspected at least once a year. Weight tests must be applied on some equipment as static tests (1,25 times the declared load) and dynamic tests (1,1 times the deaclared load), and on some equipment as tests based on weights shown on capacity balance diagrams.
