Category N: Motor vehicles with at least four wheels designed and constructed for the carriage of goods.

Category N2: Motor vehicles designed and constructed for the carriage of goods, having a maximum laden mass exceeding 3.5 tonnes but not exceeding 12 tonnes

Category N3: Motor vehicles designed and constructed for the carriage of goods, having a maximum laden mass exceeding 12 tonnes

CoP

Category T1: Wheeled tractors where the axle closest to the driver has a minimum track width of not less than 1150 mm, unladen mass in running order exceeding 600 kg and ground clearance not exceeding 1000 mm.

Category T2: Wheeled tractors having a minimum track width of less than 1150 mm, unladen mass, in running order, greater than 600 kg, and ground clearance not exceeding 600 mm.

Category T3: Wheeled tractors with an unladen mass in running order not exceeding 600 kg

Category T4: Wheeled tractors of a special design.

We provide test and type approval services of agricultural and forestry vehicles in accordance with EU/167/2013 regulation and approval of systems or components of these vehicles.

Category R1: Trailers with a maximum technically permissible laden mass not exceeding 1.5 tonnes

Category R2: Trailers with a maximum technically permissible laden mass exceeding 1.5 tonnes but not exceeding 3.5 tonnes

Category R3: Trailers with a maximum technically permissible laden mass exceeding 3.5 tonnes but not exceeding 21 tonnes

Category R4: Trailers with a maximum technically permissible laden mass exceeding 21 tonnes

Provided Services

For Category R trailers, our manufacturers may choose to apply for approval under EU/167/2013. We provide testing and type approval of agricultural and forestry vehicles according to EU/167/2013 regulation and approval of systems or components of these vehicles.

Category S covers interchangeable towed equipment

Category S1: Interchangeable towed devices with a maximum laden mass not exceeding 3.5 tonnes

Category S2: Interchangeable towed devices with a maximum laden mass exceeding 3.5 tonnes.

Provided Services

We provide testing and type approval services for agricultural and forestry vehicles according to EU/167/2013 regulation.

Category L vehicles cover two-, three- and four-wheeled motor vehicles, including two- and three-wheeled mopeds and motorcycles, motorbikes, sidecars, light, and heavy on-road quads, and light and heavy four-wheeled motorcycles with gasoline, diesel, or electric engines.

Category L classification;

Category L1: Two-wheel vehicles with a maximum design speed of not more than 45 km/h

Category L2: Three-wheel vehicles with a maximum design speed of not more than 45 km/h

Category L3: Two-wheel vehicles without a sidecar having a maximum design speed of more than 45 km/h

Category L4: Two-wheel vehicles with a sidecar having a maximum design speed of more than 45 km/h

Category L5: Vehicles with three symmetrically arranged wheels having a maximum design speed of more than 45 km/h

Category L6: Quadricycles whose maximum design speed is not more than 45 km/h

Category L7: Quadricycles other than those referred to in category L6, whose unladen mass is not more than 400 kg (550 kg for vehicles intended for carrying goods) 

Provided Services

For those producing Category L vehicles, we provide our manufacturers with testing and type approval services in accordance with the EU/168/2013 regulation, as well as approval services of the systems or components of these vehicles.

We provide Rops, Fops, Noise, Safety Belt testing and reporting services on construction equipment.

1. Electromagnetic compatibility EMC (ECE R10)

Vehicle manufacturer (OEM) or electrical-electronic equipment manufacturers must test these products according to EC/EU Directives or ECE Regulations and obtain a type approval certificate to export their products. ECE R10, “e” or “E” type approval certification of products means that they are made and certified in accordance with EU/EC/ECE automotive regulations. As Szutest, we provide testing and type approval services in accordance with the relevant regulations and directives.

2. Passenger, Hostess, and Driver Seats

We provide the testing of the driver and passenger seats to be used in Automobiles, Buses, Trucks, Pickup Trucks, and Tractors in accordance with ECE R14, ECE R16, ECE R17, ECE R25, ECE R80, 78/764/EEC, 1322/2014/EU Annex XIV regulations and directives. We issue the “E” type approval certificate.

3.Safety Belt (ECE R16)

As Szutest, we provide test and type approval services in our contracted domestic and international laboratories in accordance with ECE R16.

4.Glass (ECE R43)

As Szutest, we provide testing and type approval services in accordance with ECE R43.

• Toughened-glass

5.Mirror (ECE R46)

Within the scope of ECE R46, we provide customer-oriented service in obtaining European type approvals by performing the tests and type approval activities of the mirror and indirect camera vision systems from Class I to Class VI.

6.Lighting (ECE R48)

As Szutest, we provide laboratory testing, dimensional control, and type approval services for vehicle lighting systems in accordance with the relevant regulations and ECE R48.

7.Rear Protection (ECE R58)

As Szutest, we provide testing and type approval services in accordance with ECE R58.

8.Fuel Tank (ECE R34)

As Szutest, we test the following in accordance with ECE R34 and provide type approval services.

• Collision resistance, hydraulic pressure, rollover, fuel permeability, fuel resistance, combustion resistance, high-temperature resistance tests of plastic fuel tanks
• Hydraulic pressure and tipping test of metal fuel tanks.

9.Flammability (ECE R118)

It is a legal requirement to test the materials used in the interior structures of M3, CLASS 2, and CLASS 3 vehicles in Europe and in our country according to the ECE-R118 Regulation. In addition, with the United Nations European Commission (UNECE) Regulation No 107, an R107 approved fire extinguishing system should be installed and regularly tested in all engine compartments of M2 and M3 vehicles, especially Class I, Class II, and Class III vehicles carrying 22 or more passengers.

The combustion behavior of the materials used in the internal structures of motor vehicles is examined in 5 stages;

• Flammability,
• Horizontal/vertical burning rate
• Melting behavior
• Fuel absorption test
• Flame propagation resistance for electrical cables

As Szutest, we provide testing and type approval services in accordance with ECE R118 regulation.

10.Engine/Emission

As Szutest, we carry out ECE R96 engine emission and ECE R120 engine power measurements in our contracted laboratories to determine the emission values of the engines used in passenger cars and tractors and to reduce the harmful gas values emitted. We perform the testing and provide E certificate, that is, type approval.

11.ADR (ECE R105)

As Szutest, we provide testing and E certificate, that is, type approval in accordance with the ECE R105 regulation.

12.Tractor Cabin (ROPS, FOPS)

As Szutest, we provide tractor cabin testing service and E certificate, ie type approval, in accordance with 1322/2014 EU Annex VIII, IX, X, XI, XII.

13.Mechanical Couplings and Drawbars

As Szutest, we provide testing and type approval services within the scope of 2015/208 Annex XXXIV.

14.Noise (EU 2015/96)

As Szutest, we perform the noise tests in accordance with EU 2015/96 and carry out the testing and type approval process.

15.King Pin (ECE R55)

In ECE R55 Mechanical Coupling – Fifth Wheel King Pin Tests, the manufacturer first determines the force values of the king pin component. The class of the king pin is determined by looking at the technical drawing. The test frequency is kept at the optimum value and the tests are carried out safely.

16.Testing of Rain Flaps (EU 109/2011)

According to EU 109/2011, there are 2 types of rain flap systems. These:

– Energy Absorber Type (It is the most used type in the automotive market.)

– Air/Water Separator Type

The products of companies that manufacture energy absorber rain flaps must meet the requirements of EU 109/2011 Annex-3 Part 1 and Part 2. Companies that manufacture air/water separator type rain flaps must meet the EU 109/2011 Annex-3 Part 1 and Part 3 conditions.

As Szutest, we offer testing and type approval certificate under EU 109/2011.

17.Brake Pads

As Szutest, we provide testing and E certificate, in other words, type approval services, for brake pads, discs, and drums in accordance with ECE R90.

18. Tires

Wheel and tire manufacturers have to get type approval after being tested within the scope of the regulations published by the European Community and the United Nations before they are installed on vehicles.

As Szutest, we provide testing and type approval services for tires and wheels in the following scopes.
