Personal Protective Equipment – PPE, is defined and evaluated as devices and equipment which provide direct or non-direct health and safety protection to its user.

Personal Protective Equipment – PPE is defined and evaluated as equipment, tool or device designed to provide health and safety directly or indirectly to its user. Examples of the most common equipment are overalls, goggles, face-shields, reflective vests, helmets, dust masks, and equipment that provides safety against falling from heights. The European Union Commission attaches importance to the use of quality and safe products of Personal Protective Equipment, which is an important part of the “health and safety in business life” approach.

Although Personal Protective Equipment is subject to Regulation EU No: 2016/425, its placing on the market without carrying a CE label is prohibited within the framework of the laws that include Turkey. Regulation EU No: 2016/425 Personal Protective Equipment defines the conformity assessment processes according to the categories and modules of the products.
